A wood-strap watch that does real work: chronograph, calendar, luminous hands for checking the time in the dark, and 10m water resistance, so a splash in the sink won't kill it (still not a swim-with-it watch, but it can handle real life). Business-style face, three colors.
Specs
- Dial diameter: 44mm
- Thickness: 12mm
- Movement: quartz
- Glass: mineral strengthened
- Buckle: bilateral press buckle, stainless steel
- Strap material: wood
- Water resistance: 10m (splash and rain resistant. Not for swimming or submersion)
- Care: wipe clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth; avoid prolonged water exposure despite the water resistance rating, to protect the wood
Why this over the cheap version: A plastic-strap watch cracks at the buckle and the band splits within a year. Wood doesn't do either. It wears in instead of wearing out.
Fit and sizing
Wrap a strip of paper around your wrist, mark where it overlaps, then measure the strip flat. That's your wrist size. The dial is 44mm and 12mm thick. It comes in three colors and has a bilateral press buckle.
Day to day
It's rated to 10m. In practice that means rain and splashes, not swimming or soaking. It also has a calendar and luminous hands. The luminous paint needs light to charge, and the glow fades over a few hours.
Care
Wipe it with a dry cloth after wearing it. Take it off for the shower, the dishes and the gym. Keep it out of hot cars and long stretches of direct sun, which can dry out and warp wood. Wood is a natural material, so grain and tone vary from watch to watch. Yours won't match the photo exactly. That's the wood, not a defect.
Battery
It's quartz, so there's a small battery inside. It typically lasts one to three years, and any watch counter can swap it in a few minutes.
What we can't tell you
We don't have a forestry certification to show for the wood in this watch, so we're not claiming one. The claim is simpler: a wood strap outlasts a cheap plastic one.
Who it suits
Good if you want a watch with real functions that can handle a rainy walk. Skip it if you swim, dive or shower with your watch on.
Buying it
It ships in about 8 to 12 business days, so order a couple of weeks ahead if it's a gift. If it's not right, you have 30 days to return it with a prepaid label.
Nothing life-changing, just stuff that works.
